TESSY PLASTICS EARNS GOLD MEDAL FROM ECOVADIS AND SETS SCIENCE-BASED TARGETS

Skaneateles, N.Y, November 19, 2024— Tessy Plastics Corp. announced today that it has achieved a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments. This is Tessy’s second gold medal in two years, placing them among the top 2% of the companies assessed on 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: environment, labor & human Rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.  Tessy stands firm in building partnerships with customers and suppliers to achieve common sustainability goals, applying our decades long experience in automation and innovation to minimize environmental impacts.

Tessy has continued to expand its sustainability initiatives and set ambitious milestones while growing its business. Recently, Tessy set near-term science-based emissions reduction target in line with the latest climate science. Tessy is now one of the 5000+ companies worldwide, whose target have been approved by the Science Based Target initiative.  Tessy commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. Additionally, they have committed to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream and downstream transportation and distribution and end of life treatment of sold products 25% within the same timeframe.
