Tessy Plastics Corp. Honors the Legacy of Henry Beck, Founder of Tessy

Skaneateles, NY – March 11, 2025 – It is with great respect and deep gratitude that we honor the life and legacy of Henry Beck, the visionary founder of Tessy, who passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife, Helga Beck, children, and grandchildren. Henry’s remarkable journey from his birthplace in Munich, Germany, to establishing one of the most successful and respected businesses in Central New York is a testament to his unparalleled work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering dedication.

Born in Munich in 1934, Henry Beck learned early in life that success could only be achieved through hard work, discipline, and a commitment to excellence. At just 16 years old, he entered a toolmaker apprenticeship, not yet knowing it would lay the foundation for a life that would shape not only his future but the future of countless employees and families. Henry’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation became the cornerstone of everything he built.

In 1956, Henry moved to the United States to further pursue his dreams and career. He took on various key roles in global manufacturing and by the early 1970s, Henry knew he wanted to start his own injection molding business. In 1973, Henry founded Tessy in Elbridge, NY, a company that would go on to become a leader in the injection molding industry.

The business began in a modest 16,000 square-foot building located at the corner of Route 5 and Hamilton Street. Today, Tessy stands as a symbol of growth, resilience, and success, with nine facilities in Central NY, two in Shanghai, China, and two in Pennsylvania.

As a family-owned company, Tessy has been built upon the values Henry instilled from day one: dedication, innovation, and a commitment to quality. Today, Henry’s sons proceed his vision ensuring Tessy remains a beacon of excellence in manufacturing.

Henry’s legacy extends far beyond the products Tessy creates. It lies in the lives of the people who worked with him, the countless employees who were empowered by his leadership, and the families who have flourished because of his tireless pursuit of excellence.

Henry Beck’s contributions to the business world, his community, and his family will not be forgotten. Tessy will continue to uphold his values and vision, ensuring that his memory lives on for generations to come.
