Warehouse Clerk Level I – 12-Hour Days & Nights

Tessy’s Warehouse Clerks (level I, II and III) are responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the daily processes of the warehouse including the operation of various power industrial vehicles (PIV) as well as the tracking, searching and reporting of inventory using procedures put in place by the Supply Chain Manager and/or Warehouse Manager. They must work collaboratively with other departments within Tessy to ensure a safe, efficient and effective warehouse environment.
Starting Pay: $21.75+ shift differential
Off Shift Vacation Incentive: Night shift employees at Tessy have the opportunity to gain up to an additional 32 hours of paid time off per calendar year. For every 60 hours worked, employee earns 1 hour of additional time up to a total of 32 hours annually.
Duties and Responsibilities: Level I | % Time |
1. Assists with storing and/or loading and unloading of materials, safely and independently while using various power industrial vehicles (PIV) such as sit down and standup forklifts and powered pallet trucks. | 60 |
2. Uses electronic, computerized equipment, such as inventory scan guns, to assist with preparation, visual inspection and routing of materials, for storage, shipping or production use. | 15 |
3. Tracks, searches and assists in warehouse moves based on an understanding of Tessy Work instructions and FIFO procedures. | 15 |
4. Ability to perform forklift battery maintenance, PIV pre-trip inspection and basic preventative maintenance and daily reporting. | 5 |
5. Perform shipping related tasks using outside carriers such as UPS and/or FedEx. | 3 |
6. Perform basic trouble shooting of warehouse equipment such as, AGV’s, wrappers, and conveyors, and yard horse. | 2 |

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School Diploma, GED and/or a minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, Tessy Plastics PIV license.
- Possess an attention for detail with a high degree of accuracy
- (I) Basic computer experience/ proficiency. (II & III) Advanced computer experience and proficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and SOPs, as well as write routine reports and correspondences.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to problem solve involving several variables in working situations.
- Participation and successful completion of powered industrial vehicle (PIV) random drug testing pool.
- (II & III) Ability and willingness to become certified as spill responder, Haz-mat trained and IATA trained (in order to ship lithium batteries).
- (III) Ability and willingness to become Forklift “train the trainer” certified as well as trained in accident response and review.
- (III) Must possess a minimum of a CDL B License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 months IQMS experience.
- (III) CDL A License
- (III) Previous outside supervisory experience.

- Have the ability to lift, lower and carry 11-25 lbs. on a frequent basis (up to half of your day) and 26-50 lbs. on an occasional basis (up to 1/3 of your day).
- Have the ability to climb ramps and stairs on an occasional basis (up to 1/3 of your day) to frequent basis (up to half of your day).
- Be able to seize, hold, pinch and grasp items typical of this job with good dexterity with both hands, such as tweezers, nippers and small cutting tools.
- Have good eye-hand coordination.
- Be able to crawl, crouch, stoop, kneel and bend forward/sideways without aids/assistive devices on an occasional basis (up to 1/3 of your day) to constant basis (more than 2/3 of your day).
- Be able to push, pull and reach with light to moderate force on an occasional basis (up to 1/3 of your day) to frequent basis (up to half of your day).
- Have the ability to work in a standing position on an occasional basis (up to 1/3 of your day) to constant basis (more than 2/3 of your day). However, the duration may be up to the scheduled work hours. Sitting may be required on an occasional basis.
- Have specific vision abilities required by this job. They include color and shading discrimination, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Must possess sight and hearing senses or by the use of prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately.
- Be able to move body through different positions to allow safe maneuvering of product and safe operation of the vehicle.
- Be able to adhere to all safety procedures and practices.
- Be able to adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to efficiently complete assigned work while utilizing tools, computers, and safety devices.
