12-Hour Night Shift Incentive Only
- Off Shift Vacation Incentive – Night shift employees at Tessy have the opportunity to gain up to an additional 32 hours of paid time off per calendar year. For every 60 hours worked, employee earns 1 hour of additional vacation time up to a total of 32 hours annually!
- Night shift lottery (now through 2023) – Once per quarter, company wide – A total of FIVE night shift employees names will be drawn at random to receive $10,000 each!
The Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the manufacturing and assembly of molded product and secondary operations. They must read, functionally understand, and apply work instructions to the job duties. These include following and adhering to: safety, quality and production standards, oral direction, guidance and instructions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
|1. Assists with the operation of molding presses, production machinery, and/or equipment used in the manufacturing of plastic component parts.||40||Essential|
|2. Must perform manufacturing related tasks including but not limited to: manual handling of parts, visual inspections, loading parts, packaging parts, machine operation, trimming parts, gaging product, and/or assembly work.||40||Essential|
|3. Must keep work sites clean and orderly. All tools and equipment should be returned to their assigned places at the conclusion of each shift.||5||Non-Essential|
|4. Other duties assigned. For example: helping other employees get caught up and to help cover co-workers break times.||15||Non-Essential|

- Requires at least 6 months verifiable and consecutive work experience. Recent attendance of (or graduation from) an educational institution may be substituted for work experience.
- Ability to follow work instruction and respond to management direction.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to read hand held measuring tools, scales, and other devices.
- High School Diploma or GED

- Be able to move body through different positions to allow safe maneuvering of product from carts/totes and tables to/from the machine.
- Be able to adhere to all safety procedures and practices.
- Be able to adhere to all Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) while utilizing tools, computers, and safety devices to efficiently complete assigned work.
- Have the ability to work in a standing position on a constant basis is required when performing job. The duration may be up to the scheduled work hours. Sitting may be required on an occasional to frequent basis.
- Be able to walk, squat, crouch, stoop and bend forward/sideways without aids/assistive devices on occasional to frequent basis.
- Be able to push and pull with light to moderate force.
- Have sufficient strength and movement in upper body/arms and hands to perform repetitive forward reaching.
- Be able to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while handling parts.
- Be able to seize, hold and grasp items typical of this job with good dexterity with both hands, such as tweezers, nippers and small cutting tools throughout the work shift.
- Have good eye-hand coordination.
- Be able to pinch and work with the fingers throughout the workday.
- Have the ability to lift, lower and carry up to 25-30 lbs. on an occasional basis (1/3 of workday) and 10-20 on a frequent basis (2/3 of workday).
- Have specific vision abilities required by this job include: color and shading discrimination, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Must possess sight and hearing senses or by the use of prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately.
- Be able to correctly orient/layout parts using reasoning and relation problem solving.
