We’re looking for a Project Manager Level II to join our Customer Service team. Lead cross-functional teams and manage projects from initiation through closeout—driving execution, accountability, and customer success.
Your Role at Tessy
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating projects from large multilayered programs to small projects as assigned. This individual will be building and managing cross-functional project teams. The Project Manager is responsible for aspects of programs as detailed on confidential company RACI charts. They will work in tandem with Sales Account Management as well as Technical Leads to ensure project/program success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage project development from initiation to closure. May include management of R&D activities before program award.
- Manage customer relationships and customer teams throughout project/program.
- Work with the stakeholders to outline the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, cost tracking and timing of projects. Responsible for budget, reporting, and closeout of projects/programs.
- Provide and update project schedules. Multiple methods/tools/software may be used.
- Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to superiors and Project Sponsor. Report out escalation items as necessary to Directors and Vice Presidents.
- Act as mediator between stakeholders and team members.
- Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
- Work with outside subcontractors such as tool shops, automation suppliers and other suppliers to ensure compliance with timelines.
- Develop tools and best practices for Project Management. Focus on execution and lessons learned.
What You’ll Bring:
- Associate’s Degree or higher in an Engineering discipline or applicable background.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Project/Program Manager in a manufacturing environment with a high-level understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is highly desirable.
- Ability to become a “Super User” of Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
- Understands cross functional impact and considers how project plans and project outcome impact other departments.
- Ability to manage complex timelines from initial production runs through production release.
- Demonstrate leadership in managing team members.
- Translates technical and procedural requirements and information that team members will understand.
- Ability to work with management and other team members from various departments throughout the company.
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $100,000–$125,000
