Facilities Maintenance Technician Level I-II

JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all routine and required maintenance including: installation of new equipment to meet production needs, trouble shooting and repairing of existing facility equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician follows schedules and assignments and verifies completion of all maintenance work required to keep the facility in a reliable and safe condition. This position must read, functionally understand, and apply all relevant regulatory codes/requirements.
Starting Pay: $24 per hour
Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

- Working hour requirements are no less than 40 hours per week, (5 days per week, 8-hour days)
- Day shift
- Monday-Friday

1. Responsible for following the facilities maintenance technician schedule and implementation of project plans and preventative maintenance programs as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager. | 35 | 30 | Essential |

QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School Diploma or GED plus 1-year experience in manufacturing facility.
- Must possess and demonstrate an acceptable level of knowledge within the following fields: mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and write routine reports, procedures and correspondences.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must apply common sense understanding to dictate and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to problem solve involving several variables in work life situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Have the ability to lift, lower and carry 26-50 lbs. on a/an frequent basis (up to half of your day).
- Be able to seize, hold, pinch and grasp items typical of this job with good dexterity with both hands, such as tweezers, nippers and small cutting tools.
- Have good eye-hand coordination.
- Be able to crawl, crouch, stoop, kneel and bend forward/sideways without aids/assistive devices on an occasional (up to 1/3 of your day) to frequent basis (up to half of your day).
- Be able to push, pull and reach with light to moderate force on an occasional basis (up to 1/3 of your day).
- Have the ability to work in a standing position on an occasional basis (up to 1/3 of your day). However, the duration may be up to the scheduled work hours. Sitting may be required on an occasional basis.
