Your Role at Tessy
The Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day performance of the network; maintaining maximum up-time and resolving issues that impact the network. In addition, this position is responsible for planning, implementing, installing, and maintaining hardware and software related network operations. The Network Engineer may be expected to work off-hours and weekend work on the management and implementation projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Install and set up network equipment, workstations, servers and software.
- Network administration including moves, adds, and changes.
- Develop, maintain, and support intranet websites, printers, and software for various departments such as QA and Scales.
- Support end users’ devices and peripherals including workstations, handhelds, printers, phones, etc.
- Must troubleshoot and resolve network issues, identify the problem(s) and resolve avoiding downtime.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on network software and hardware including daily network and server backups.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, and/or 4 years’ experience in the Network Engineering discipline.
- Microsoft and/or Cisco technologies certification is a plus but not required.
- Must demonstrate a proven record of proficiency in the following areas: Microsoft Server & Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMware & Virtualization, SAN & Server Administration, Cisco (Switches, Routers, Security Appliances, Wireless Control System, and Call Manager).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondences.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Must apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Ability to solve problems involving several variables in working situations.
- Actively participates in professional continuous improvement and is willing to share expertise with others.
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $115,000–$130,000
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
