TP3 Framework

Committed to Sustainable Manufacturing

At Tessy Plastics, sustainability isn’t a side initiative — it’s woven into how we operate. Our TP3 framework — People, Planet, and Product — is the system of values behind everything we do. We believe investing in people, reducing our environmental footprint, and building better products creates real value for our customers, suppliers, and communities.

We put people first: prioritizing employee health and safety, supporting well-being, and investing in career development. And our ISO 14001:2015 certified environmental management system gives us a rigorous, independently verified foundation for tracking and reducing our carbon emissions, waste generation, and water consumption.

How We Operate

Sustainability Across Our Operations

Sustainable Product Design

Our R&D lab — home to 200+ engineers and the latest prototyping technologies — helps customers move fast on sustainable design. We’ve tested biodegradable, recyclable, and reusable materials, developed lightweighting solutions that cut material use without affecting quality, and own patented designs that reduce environmental footprint.

Production Efficiency

Every Tessy facility is built for energy efficiency from the ground up. Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) optimize usage in real time based on operational needs and weather. Electric injection molding presses, closed-loop water cooling, and thermal heat recovery are standard across our operations.

Our tooling expertise — strengthened by the addition of Tessy Tooling in 2019 — spans micro-molding and high-cavitation molding up to 120 cavities, improving both speed and material efficiency. In-house laser mold repair at every facility cuts downtime and eliminates the carbon footprint of shipping molds off-site.

Our 130+ automation cells deliver consistent, high-speed output while minimizing scrap. Because we can manufacture up to 20 components and assemble them into finished kits within one facility — then ship directly to distribution — we eliminate unnecessary transportation, packaging, and handling at every stage.

Responsible Procurement

We hold our supply chain to the same standards we set for ourselves. Our Supplier Code of Conduct requires commitments to human rights, ethical labor practices, and environmental responsibility. We actively partner with suppliers who offer sustainable options like return-to-refill programs and reusable materials.

Streamlined Distribution

Smarter logistics means a smaller footprint. Our packaging experts work closely with customers and suppliers to right-size packaging — optimizing both dimensions and materials. Reusable and returnable pallets, boxes, and totes are our default for domestic customers, and we collaborate with customers to identify lower-carbon transportation options that fit their needs.
